The creators delivered essential supplies to North Carolina residents affected by Hurricane Helene.
When Hurricane Helene tore through North Carolina, leaving communities without power, homes damaged, and residents desperate for aid, a few unlikely heroes stepped in: OnlyFans creators Alana Cho, Victoria, and Jen Foxx.
Instead of watching from afar, these influencers flew from Los Angeles to North Carolina to bring relief supplies directly to affected communities. Cho, who captured the trip on her TikTok, included the caption, “We helped hurricane [sic] survivors.”
In her video, Cho meets with Darian Bodenhorst, a local volunteer with AVL Fast, a relief group in Asheville. Bodenhorst highlighted the community’s need for essential items, especially with colder weather approaching.
“It’s about to get cold. Imagine a generator, what it can do for a family to have heat.”
The Power of Social Media
Alana Cho has made a name for herself as a trending social media personality and OnlyFans creator. With an engaged following, she’s turned her platform into more than just entertainment, and posted a link to AVL Fast’s GoFundMe campaign in her bio, raising even more awareness for the organization’s cause.
The OnlyFans creators went on to purchase 11 generators, 25 laptops, and iPads, spending nearly $30,000 on food, electronics, and other essential supplies for the region. This direct action made an immediate impact, especially given the state’s challenging recovery conditions. North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper’s office reported that while power has been restored to most areas, approximately 5,000 customers remain without electricity, down from an initial peak of over one million.
In addition, some roads remain closed or restricted to essential vehicles only. While FEMA has stepped in with around 1,500 staff and approved more than 94,000 households for disaster assistance, these community-driven relief efforts are crucial to filling gaps and providing immediate support.
Changing the Narrative
Despite the critical work these creators are doing, OnlyFans is often discussed in the media with negative connotations. Due to its association with adult content, the platform’s creators are frequently portrayed in a controversial light.
However, stories like this show that OnlyFans creators can be more than their online personas. They’re a reminder that people in all professions can come together to create positive change. Victoria Foxx, one of the creators who joined Cho in North Carolina, told Newsweek that she hopes this is only the beginning of more OnlyFans-led charitable efforts.
“There’s a lot of OF creators out there that are willing to help out like this with the abundance of wealth they have, so I hope to arrange more things in the future that call upon them.”
Influence with Impact
The community has embraced support from unexpected allies, recognizing that not only traditional organizations can make a difference. With FEMA staff deployed and local volunteers working tirelessly, individual contributions from influencers like Cho and her friends serve as a powerful reminder that help can come from all corners.
As Cho and her friends leave North Carolina, they’ve left behind more than generators and food; they’ve inspired others to take action. With their influence and financial resources, they’re showing that real people—not just institutions—can step up to support communities devastated by natural disasters.
Could this be the beginning of a philanthropic movement among influencers and adult creators alike?
