An OnlyFans insider reveals the industry’s dark secrets
Recently, a popular YouTube channel hosted by Lecrae featured a very special guest on The Deep end Podcast, a former OnlyFans recruiter who exposed some of the darker secrets of the industry.
After providing a brief explanation of what OnlyFans is and how it works, VictoriaSinis, the guest, delved into some troubling aspects of the platform. One of the key points she raised was that the main reason OnlyFans has gained such massive popularity is due to a growing sense of loneliness and desperation among men for human interaction.
Victoria argued that OnlyFans represents a larger cultural issue. The majority of its users are men, and they’re not just looking for pornography, they’re seeking some kind of connection and agencies and creators are exploiting these emotional needs for profit.
As if that weren’t concerning enough, OnlyFans model agencies have begun to spring up. Their main objective? To maximize the profits of the models they manage by exploiting their subscribers as much as possible But how do they do this? It all has to do with something called “the girlfriend experience”.
If a model has hundreds of thousands of followers, and the appeal of OnlyFans is the illusion of personal interaction, how can one person possibly keep up with all those messages? That’s where the agencies step in. They take over the interactive aspect of the account so the model can focus on creating content. This means that the people subscribers believe they’re chatting with are often employees from overseas, hired specifically to impersonate the model and engage with fans all day.
To make these impersonations more convincing, models are required to complete a series of detailed questionnaires to help agents accurately mimic their personalities.
During the interview, Victoria brought attention to one of the most popular OnlyFans collaborations known as The BopHouse. Here’s how she described it:
“There’s a house in LA and this girl named Sophie Rain who is a “Christian OnlyFans girl” and she’s got a bunch of girls that literally look like they’re 12 years old and they’re all in this mansion in LA and they make child-like content on tiktok to be able to promote their OnlyFans but it’s also a recruitment tactic because now little girls (…) are now like: I wanna be part of the BopHouse”
So not only are they sexualizing young women, they are actively trying to recruit them through social media to be the next generation of content creators, they are taking a percentage of their earnings which basically means the agencies are now the new-age pimps, they encourage them to make more extreme content to maximise profits and they trick vulnerable men into believing they have personal relationships with these women.
